While the good children all get candy from St. Nick around Christmas time, the bad children get scooped up by Krampus and brought to the underworld. The legend of Krampus has been around for hundreds of years, but still is popular in Europe (where it originated) and the US today. Krampus scares you into behaving like a good boy or girl should.
